Beatlemania at KQV
The Beatles took America by storm in 1964. Their assault on the American music scene was unlike anything ever seen. At one time the Beatles had the top 5 songs nationally on the Billboard Magazine Hot 100 Chart. The Beatles chart history on KQV was just as astounding. The week of April 6-13, 1964, The Beatles had 8 listings at the top of the KQV Finest Forty (including flip sides it was actually 10 titles). They also had the top 3 albums. 

Beatlemania at KQV lasted from the week of January 13 - 20, 1964 through the week of June 26 - July 3, 1970. 51 different titles including album cuts appeared on the weekly Finest Forty or Hit Parade surveys. Many more titles (flip sides and album cuts) were also played although not listed on the official printed surveys. 39 Beatles titles held or shared the number one spot on the survey for a total of 123 weeks.

The first Beatles #1 in 1964 was "I Want To Hold Your Hand". It went to the top spot on 3 different occasions, totaling 9 weeks. The final Beatles # 1 on KQV was "Let It Be" in 1970.
