What are we doing for the summer? We’re still around and looking forward to the summer concerts and seeing all of you.
We hope 2006 has been good to you. Can you believe we are already halfway through the year and on our way to 2007? Time sure flies.
Since our last posting, much has happened that has kept us totally preoccupied. In September of 2005, Wendy’s mother was diagnosed with cancer that caused her immobility and she entered a nursing home. The bone cancer continued to rage in her body and dealing with the pain was a daily battle. Her final days were peaceful with much love expressed for her and through her. She left this world on March 10, 2006.
This has been an extremely difficult time and adjustments have to be made during and following any long term illnesses. Those of you that have experienced this understand completely what we are talking about.
Joe was able to record a new album this spring and we hope that it will be available in June. This album will be a new sound for you as Darren and Wendy are not on this album. Don’t let that discourage your interest. You will find this album worth the purchase and you will notice a familiar background vocal, Darrell O’Donnell, who was a great help in getting the album finished up and ready for distribution.
There will also be some temporary additions and subtractions to the band this year and you will have to come and see those for yourself.
We are so grateful for our Heavenly Father who walks with us in all of life’s trials and blesses us with special people to help us through the darkest days of our life.
Take care of yourselves and as we have learned this year: Make the most of each new day, every one of them is a gift from God.
