Brian McNeill

Fiddler, Guitarist, Songwriter

Brian was a founding member of Battlefield Band. He is a prolific and talented songwriter, and also writes novels.  In this photo, Brian performs at the Smithsonian Folklife festival in Washington, D.C. in 2003. Brian has a rare gift for telling a story in song. And he has an equally rare gift of recognizing great stories to be told. 

One of Brian's current gigs is serving as the head of the Scottish Music Department at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow. Thanks Brian for keeping traditional music alive and well!
