| New Blood = Roster Update and General Housecleaning |
| Welcome aboard new
members! Nice to see some new faces joining the clan, and hope
to see you in future matches and meetings. The clan roster is getting badly out of date. If you wish to be on the roster, please email me with the pertinent information: Nick, email, age and ICQ number. Current members should send any updates to their stats. A current, working email address is very important. This seems like a good time to get the skillz/match roster updated, so if you need your account activated or have forgotten your password, just send some email to me and I'll take care of it. The roster is also full of lot of gone/almost forgotten players whose accounts I'm going to delete. During this process, it's highly likely that I will delete someone who wishes to stay on the skillz/matches roster. Don't throw a hissy-fit, just send me some email and I'll put you back in the database. BF and I have revived the OBC mailing list. Once the roster email addresses are updated, I'm going to send out email invitations to all the current members. This mailing list will be used to quickly and easily notify members of important OBC events, like matches. This way, our match coordinators (aka BF) can get the word out to the list members about last minute changes. I've setup a newer, better web page redirector. The old one, "http://olebastards.videogame.nu/" is still working, and will point to this page, but check out the new one, as it's much nicer. http://olebastards.cjb.net/ This one is really nice, as it doesn't use ads or have frames so you could use this address as a bookmark in your web browser, if you wished. The advantage of a redirector is that this web page address is much easier to remember than my regular web address. Also, if the clan web page has to move, which has happened in the past, it's very easy for me to change what page the redirector points to, without having to change the web page submitted to match organizers and the like.Clan meeting is still Sunday nights, 9:00 PM at irc.gamenode.net, unless we decide to change it. Getting a time that suits everybody is almost impossible, but it could be changed again to improve attendance, that way BF and I won't run out of conversation. :) |

fixed Sunday, but I thought I would pass this on from lpd: First the Cable went down, then the power went out for awhile. I was at a LAN party all weekend so I wasn't at home to turn the server back on when the power came up. Hmmm, sounds like those new, fancy-shamncy power supplies have their downsides. :) |

Blackfrag says that they might need to use an LPB, so you OBC LPB's that have bored for the last few months have a chance to get some RA lovin' with the gang. OBC tradition of sticking the newbie with the dirty job,
Blackfrag has graciously volunteered to help admin the matches
for the OGL RA Modem Team! Lets all give Blackfrag a big
standing ovation. Just remember, it could have been YOU
that was stuck with this job. :) Showing amazing proficiency at his first assignment, Blackfrag has already lined-up a match with clan Shaolin. The match is Saturday night, 9:00 at their server 209.98.32.33:27910. We need at least 4 players, but more would be appreciated. Head over to the roster page and get signed-up! This is the first match we have had in a long, long time. So anyone that can make it, get signed-up so we can field plenty of people for tomorrow night. Grab and growl folks! |
