| Web Page Stuff |
| I've just created an
optional, easy-to-remember URL for the clan web site with one of
those free services on the web. Here it is- http://olebastards.videogame.nu/ I've done this for several reasons. First, it's a heck of a lot easier to read and remember than the regular name for my web space. Second- portability. I can change the web page address that the URL points to, so if we have to move the web page to another server again, we won't have to change the "official" clan web page address that is registered at the various ladder leagues, like the OGL.Of course, there is no such thing as a free lunch, and the downside of this new URL is that the service inserts a banner ad at the bottom of the web page. Therefore, I would recommend that regular users of this site continue to use the direct link. There ya go, Duke! An easy way to plug the clan web site on the Quake servers. :) This would probably be a good time to remind everyone that the official email box for the clan is: olebastards@yahoo.com I made this email box awhile ago for the exact same reasons stated above. This is just one of those web based email boxes, so if anyone else wants the password and stuff just email me. Ooops, had some email in there, maybe I should check it more often. :) |

| OGL RA2 Modem Ladder? |
|
Check out this message from Duke: I know lots of folks are laying low waiting for Q3 to roll out, but I was wondering if anyone's interested in joining the OGL RA2 Modem Ladder. Since fighting in the Open ladder sucks for modem folks, maybe we could take the modem folks and play amongst peers? Let me know. This could be a lot of fun for the modem users, but we need warm bodies. We should at least have 6 people in the squad, with 4 people for the matches and 2 alternates. Of course, the more the merrier. If this sounds like fun to you, email Duke or attend this Friday's meeting on IRC @ Gamesnet were we will discuss this and many other tantalizing topics. |

| Movin' Movin' Movin' |
|
Thanks to lpd, we now have a new place to host the scripts. The
biggest change you will notice from the move is that the message
board has been re-installed and cleaned out, so everyone will
have to register again. Now is a good time to write down your
passwords! First off, I would like to thank lpd, for coming out of retirement and getting the scripts up and running in a short amount of time. Also mad props go out to Crow and Duke, who were waiting on the sidelines with servers just in case we needed them. Sparky, of course, really came through. Not only did he host the scripts for many months on his own computer, but continued this service after joining clan MOE , while OBC got their act together. Thanks guys! |

| NARF matches |
| We
have a whopping 3 NARF matches tonight and tomorrow. The first one
tonight at 9:00 PM EST, the second at 10:00 PM EST and another
one Saturday night at 10:00 PM EST. There are still empty slots
for some of these matches, so get moving and sign-up if you can
make it. It might be awhile until we play in more organized matches, so lets enjoy these games. |

| Web Page / Upcoming Match |
| I've
updated the roster page. If you see an error, want to change
something or just want to give me hell for deleting you, drop me
a note and I'll try
to fix it. We have a NARF match Friday night at 9:00 PM EST. Sally said it best in the message board: Alright, you no good rotten bastards that are in this clan...get your lazy butts over to that matches page and sign up for that match. Things are winding down for the NARF tournament, so lets have a good showing with some participation in the matches page and maybe even a few alternates for the match. |

| Screwing up- NARF match tonight! |
|
Arrgggh, my inability to read makes me look like a fool again!
Please ignore the previous article about the NARF match being
rescheduled, it hasn't been. The match is still on!!! Please
show up tonight if you can make it. S'matter of fact, I think I'll just nuke that last post. Again, the NARF MATCH IS TONIGHT! |

| Next week's highlights |
| No,
it isn't an April Fool's joke- On April 1 there is a NARF match.
Don't forget to sign-up if you can make it. Also make sure to check out the message board for the "Roll Call" thread. I would like to clean-up the roster page, but with all the excitement lately I'm not sure who's in and who's out. If you are still interested in clan activities, just post a message in that thread. |

| CH CH CH CH Changes |
| With
Sparky moving on, the new home for the clan web page is here, so
make sure to set your bookmarks. Let us all flush our web
browser caches in remembrance of the @home web server. :) The only problem I'm running into is that Mindspring won't host the scripts that are necessary to power the message board, calendar, matches and skillz section of the web site. Everyone, please check your own provider or suggest an alternative server that can run the scripts so that Sparky can free-up his own computer. If you can help out with the scripts, contact me. |

| Sparky leaves OBC |
| As
I'm sure many of you know from the message board and mailing
list, Sparky has decided to join clan MOE . A long-time member of this
clan, Sparky was instrumental in keeping the clan together during
some of the rough times, and went above and beyond the call of
duty by hosting the web page and organizing many of the
matches. I would personally like to thank Sparky for all the effort he put into the clan and I hope he enjoys his new cronies. Just remember Sparky, you never really leave OBC, and we hope to see you visit. |
