In September 1974, Bobby Mitchell joined KQV for afternoons from WABY in Albany, NY where he was on in the morning.  His name at WABY was Ron Edwards.  Bobby replaced Rick Shaw on KQV.  During Bobby's time at KQV his name was changed twice by KQV program director Joey Reynolds. First to Ronnie Edwards and then to his real name Ron Hughes. Bobby left KQV in mid 1975. After KQV, Ron used his Bobby Mitchell name at 95 WPEN. in Philadelphia. Ron worked in Air Traffic Control after leaving radio and retired from the Department of Transportation / FAA at the Farmingdale Flight Standards District Office in NY State on August 1, 2017. He worked at WAMS in Wilmington, Delaware and WFIIL in Philadelphia before going to host morning drive at WMID-AM in Atlanitc City,  NJ. in the early 70's as Ron Edwards.  The caricature above was from Bobby's time at WPEN-AM in Philadelphia shortly after leaving KQV.
