After 98 years KQV Radio Pittsburgh
has signed off.
KQV has signed off. On New Years Eve December
31, 2017 said goodbye. KQV has been an All News Station since changing
from Top 40 on October 15, 1975. From 8ZAE to KQV to the Big 14 to
All News KQV 1410. KQV will be more.
KQV signed on as 8ZAE on November 19, 1919
and was owned by The Doubleday Hill Electric Co. The FCC did not officially
grant the call letters until January 9, 1922. KQV was the oldest continuously
broadcasting station in the United States
