ROD RODDY went off to New York Saturday for a week's vacation from his KQV 9 p.m. - midnight record spinning duties. . . by Monday, the station had forgotten he was gone. . . Minutes before air time, program directror Dick Drury was called in to substitute and he broadcast a plea for his missing d.j. until someone learned Roddy was off.

Thanks to Paul Carlson for this Aircheck of Dick Drury explaining the absence of Rod Roddy
