JIM QUINN

MONDAY - SATURDAY 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Jim began his radio career in the mid-1960's, and is one of those rare personalities who has made a successful transition from teen-idol to adult entertainer.

Jim joined WTAE in September, 1979, after a three-year stint as morning personality on WKTQ. In fact, despite a varied background, Jim has spent almost half of his 16 radio years with Pittsburgh stations, including KQV in its rock hey-day. Jim has also been with WING, Dayton, WIBG, Philadalphia, WPLJ, New York (as Program Director). WPIX-FM, New York, and WKBW, Buffalo -- quite a distinguished list of radio stations.

Originally from New Jersey, Jim now resides in South Fayette Township. He's single and his interests include flying, motorcycles, sports cars and gourmet cooking.

Jim can play tenor sax and the guitar and has been known to sing here and there as well. He likes to dabble in astronomy, physics, philosophy and para-psychological phenomena.

Jim's varied background and interests help him fill the slot between O'Brien and Garry and Don Berns -- no small undertaking! He has attracted the audience which grew up with him in Pittsburgh radio and he keeps them entertained with a quick wit and the best on record. It's easy to tell he loves Pittsburgh!
