About The Author
Stew Salowitz is the co-author of three other books, McLean County Sports: A Sentimental Journal (1984), Collectors Guide to Baseball Memorabilia (1986), and Another Sentimental Journal (1993), while his articles on a variety of subjects have appeared in Sports Collectors Digest, International Woodworking, The Chicago Tribune, and USA Today. In his eleven and a half year stint as the afternoon radio personality on WJBC in Bloomington, Illinois, Salowitz consistently had the highest ratings in the market for afternoon drive, and was among the leaders in the nation in audience share. Since 1988 he has been the Director of New Services at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington. He lives in Normal, Illinois.
