Jersey Woolies

Princess Delores Muskrat is a sable Jersey Wooly. I like them for their small easy to manage size for children yet they also produce wool for small projects for children to explore the world of fiber arts with their very own pint-sized fibercritter! They take up less space and naturally eat less making them an ideal first project for a child. Their easy care wool is ideal for most small fiber projects. Saving up their wool production will net a fiberstash for a larger project when your child is ready to progress with their fiberskills, or you can add to your herd till you reach that needed production. Perhaps at some point you may decide to add the French angora to your herd, as they have the same type of wool thus are ideal to combine with your Jersey Wooly production for those larger projects.

Just in case you're wondering why we called her "Muskrat" it's because when my daughter put her hand in the nestbox, they would jump up like the muskrats in video "Nicki in the North Woods"
