  • Freeze hamburger, hot dogs or luncheon meats to pack in ice chest.  They will keep other foods cold as they defrost.
  • Fresh fruits and vegetables do not need refrigeration and need minimum preparation.
  • Kids will want to cook over the campfire so bring hotdogs, marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate (for smores).
  • Condiments: Salt, pepper, spices, sugar, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise
  • Instant drink mixes
  • Instant non-fat dry milk
  • Soda

Store food in a safe location so you do not attract animals.

Keep food in a car trunk or in the interior of the car under a blanket, or hang your food between two trees.

There are bears in the area, as well as raccoons, skunks, and opossums and they all have very good noses.

Have a safe and enjoyable camping experience!
