September, "Goose Day" Dinner at Perry Valley Grange, Millerstown Roast goose and roast turkey, bread stuffing, 'real' mashed potatoes, buttered corn, endive with hot bacon dressing, applesauce, homemade chow-chow, rolls, beverage, cake and ice cream will be served family style. October (Second weekend) Barner’s Church (St. John's Lutheran) 56th Annual Applebutter Boil, Saturday. Located on Barner's Road, just 1/4 mile from Lake Heron Retreat, Liverpool. Watch applebutter being cooked and buy freshly made applebutter, bring your own container. Home-made chicken or beef pot-pie dinner with smearcase, cole slaw and dessert offered. $8 for adults.
October (3rd Saturday), Fall Fest at the Perry Valley Grange, Millerstown, will be held rain or shine. Events include: outdoor flea market, farmer's market and craft market from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Indoor activities include: antique farm equipment, children's activities, demonstrations of traditional arts, health screenings. Four free workshops: 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. "Birds of Prey", and 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. Whitaker on Wheels will present an interactive science show. A country breakfast buffet from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Food and homemade goods will be available for purchase all day and a pig roast dinner will be served from 5 - 7 p.m. In addition, there will be a Pet and Baby Parade, , farm animal petting zoo, bingo bash and a country gospel concert at 7:00 p.m. Visit their website: perryvalleygrange.org
